the Blackwater Country Show had record numbers of visitors and helped raise thousands of pounds for charity
The event, now in its fourth year and held at Rook Hall, Chigborough Road, Heybridge, gave the public the chance to enjoy country life in all its glory, visit the vast array of stalls, watch the wide range of entertainment and help raise crucial funds for the Essex Air Ambulance at the same time.
For animal lovers the show offered displays of heavy horses, sheep dogs and gun dogs as well as the British Para Show Jumping Association display.
While classic and vintage car lovers were able to marvel at the engineering masterpieces before turning their attention to the lake for a very special model boat race.
Those who wanted to get involved could take part in archery, clay shooting, fly and course fishing, carriage rides and canoeing
