raft race
home-made rafts filled Chelmsford's waterways for the town's annual charity race.
More than 50 people took the plunge in the River Chelmer on Sunday for the Chelmsford Lions raft race.
Now in its 14th year, the event saw 14 teams of four enter the race. Hundreds of spectators watched the rafts launch from Chelmsford Canoe Club. Chelmsford Rugby Club won the twin-hulled section and Hawaii 5.0 won the barrel raft section. The award for the best decorated raft went to Danbury Roofing who designed a bus themed raft.
